Snipe Fleet 554

Welcome to Snipe Fleet 554’s home on the world wide web. Snipe Fleet 554 is a group of sailors based at the Jubilee Yacht Club in Beverly, Massachusetts. We are sailing the Snipes from our facility as well as from SailSalem on winter island, in Salem.. Our fleet started in 2007, and our members have become active in the Snipe class.

Each year we host a Snipe regatta that pulls in Snipe sailors from around the district. We sail in a beautiful body of water called Salem Sound. Our racing area is an easy ten minute sail from either JYC or SailSalem’s facility on Winter Island. We welcome all Snipe sailors to join our fleet. By storing your boat at SailSalem, you will have access to the best venue for the least amount of money.

We have a Monday evening racing series and each year host an invitational event that pulls sailors from around the region.

This year we will be adding a fleet boat to our stable for any visiting sailor to come and use. We hope that new sailors, sailors new to the Snipe and visiting Snipe sailors will come by and take a sail with us.

Snipe Fleet 554 hosts one weekly series and one summer event. In 2015, we will continue this level of activity.

  • May 25 - Sept 15 Monday night Snipe sailing
  • August 28-30 Jubilee Invitational (WHO Qual), Beverly MA

Monday Evening Series

This year we will be sailing every Monday in Collins Cove starting on May 25, 2014. The first start will be at 6:00. If we decided to continue the series we may move the start to an earlier time.

We will be hosting the Jubilee Invitational on August 28-30, 2015. Please see the NOR for more information.

SnipeCubes

We will decide on SnipeCubes based on participant interest.

2015 JYC Invitatonal

2013 Snipe NE Championship

This year, August 28th-30th, JYC and Snipe Fleet 554 will be hosting an invitational event that will also act as a qualifier for the 2016 Western Hemisphere and Orient Championship (WHO). Please join us for great sailing and a great social event.
